Management Team
The Dog Training Club's Management Team!
Our commitment to representing all dogs begins with ensuring that every dog owner has a voice.
At the heart of our modern governance structure is a dynamic Management Team, composed of passionate individuals who bring diverse perspectives and unwavering dedication to equality and diversity.
The Management Team is the cornerstone of everything we do, ensuring that our club operates with transparency, accountability, professionally and with a true sense of community.
The role of the Management Team is to act on and carry out the administration of the decisions made by the Board, Trustees, Executive Committee, and our members at the Annual Conference. They do this by acting on Written Resolutions (instructions) passed to them by relevant meeting or by virtue of the detailed constitution of the club.
While they provide valuable professional expertise and advice, they do not make decisions in their own right. This principle is one the team holds strong to, safeguarding the voice and rights of our members.
Think of the Management Team as the club's very own Civil Service, upholding impartiality and working tirelessly to serve the interests of our members, the Board, and the Executive Advisory Committee.
Led by our Chief Executive Officer, who oversees both The Dog Training Club and The Dog Training Club Charitable Trust, this team of dedicated and knowledgeable dog enthusiasts is here to support our members every step of the way.
The Management Team is made up of either paid staff, volunteers or contracted services. You will find them very friendly and approachable often with their own dogs, at our events.
Fun fact: Chief Executive or Chief Executive Officer—can you guess the difference?
One word can make a lot of difference. Club tradition dictates that if the appointed Chief Executive is a paid employee, their title remains Chief Executive. However, if they are appointed and do not receive a salary, they are titled Chief Executive Officer.

Head Office
Since closing our offices and facilities in Tavistock Street, Dunstable, and in light of the Covid pandemic, our Management Team has embraced remote working. This shift has allowed us to stay agile, reduce overhead costs, and remain closely connected with our members across all regions. Thanks to modern technology, we are always within reach—just a phone call away—ready to assist with any inquiries or support you may need.
As with all organisations, we are required to have a Registered Office. We utilise a secure post-handling centre as a contracted service, ensuring that anything you send to us is securely received, opened, and electronically scanned into our new administration systems the same day for the attention of the relevant member of the Management Team.
We have reviewed this approach and found it to be the best value for our members. This strategy has driven our successful digital transformation, enabling the club and Management Team to operate effectively on a national basis.
